Alice in Wonderland

For the 3-D version of this movie we got some really cute big blue glasses. The movie was just about perfect, though Alice looked a little too grown up and ugly. Helena Carter was excellent as always! Bandersnatch was ferocious at first and very lovable by the end. Johnny Depp looked a little too emotional,but all is forgiven in Wonderland!

  1. Hi,

    I don't get it. Why do people like Tim Burton films. Its like a goth fest. The only film that he made and I liked was Edward Scissor hands. I just don't get them. I almost puked watching Sweeney Todd. Can you relate yourself with any of the characters in the story or is there something to it that I don't get? This is just an honest inquiry and I'm not trying to offend you. I apologize if you feel offended in any way.

  2. My point is that I love these Lewis carroll stories, I would enjoy any derivate of them. What I am longing for is a mvoie with an abstruse reference to Alice, like Ryan's Daughter and Madame Bovary.
    @Raghu, I'm not easily offended :)
    Read deeper into Alice in Wonderland and you'll be able to explore themes like pedagogy,tyranny, satire for the "Victorian" girl and what I believe deeply surreal literature.
    I do think that the movie didn't do justice to "through the looking glass", as it was more of "alice in wonderland" than "through the looking glass", but well, what the audience identifies with easier will sell better and I was sold!
